Mothers' Union

 

Our Meetings are usually held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2.00pm in the Parish Community Hall, but please check the programme below for details of individual meetings.  For further information, please contact the Parish Office on 0151-677 5352..

 

 

Aim and Purpose

To demonstrate the Christian faith in action by the transformation of communities worldwide through the nurture of the family in its many forms.

 

Mission

  • To promote and support married life.

  • To encourage parents in their role to develop the faith of their children.

  • To maintain a worldwide fellowship of Christians united in prayer, worship and service.

  • To promote conditions in society favourable to stable family life and the protection of children.

  • To help those whose family life has met with adversity.

 

You will be very welcome at any of our events below, you do not have to be a member to attend.  Membership is open to anyone who is baptised Christian and who believes in the aim and mission of the Mothers' Union.

  •     March 14th                                                                 Deanery Quiet Afternoon here in church with Revd Josie Tuplin.
                                                                                        Staying in the boat with the disciples.  Enrolment of a new member.

  •     April 11th                                                                   Therapy Dogs Nationwide - a talk by Eileen Slattery accompanied​
                                                                                        by her dog, Spartacus.

  •     May 9th                                                                    Street Pastors, a talk by Mr Bernie Gallivan.

  •     Saturday 20th May from 10.30am to 12 Noon                  Deanery Coffee Morning at St Stephen's, Prenton  

  •     June 13th                                                                   Talk on Bidston Observatory (postponed from 9th May)

  •     July 11th                                                                     Deanery Summer Social at St Saviour's Oxton with

October 14th 

M.U. members at a presentation in church for the Nets for Life project.  Their Mosquito Drive raised £277.50p which will enable the diocese of Aru in the Democratic Republic of Congo to buy 111 much-needed mosquito nets.
