Funerals at Holy Cross

If you are viewing this page because you have lost a loved one then please accept our sincerest condolences.

Planning a funeral is never an easy thing to do.  Saying goodbye to a loved one is often difficult.  People grieve in different ways.  People also want to give thanks, but again in a variety of ways.  We are here to help, both in preparing the service with you, and with any support and prayer we can offer.

Should you require the services of a minister from Holy Cross to conduct a funeral, it is usual to first contact a local funeral director.  The funeral director will then contact the Parish Office to make a booking.

The minister would then contact you to arrange to visit you at home, or speak to you by telephone if you live some distance away.  The service will be explained to you and giving you plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

Everyone is entitled to a funeral service or to have their ashes buried in our churchyard by our minister regardless of whether they attend church or not as long as they have lived in the Parish or have had long-term connections.
